Hawks Varsity 64 – Auburn Hills Christian 60

For the first time all year the Hawks offense was firing on all cylinders, and they need every last point as they edged Auburn Hills Christian by four to earn their second straight victory.  The Hawks trailed by 2 after the first quarter and were down 4 at halftime.  After halftime the Hawks found their stride netting 20 points in the quarter, 17 coming from seniors Nick Doletzky and Nick Vanderveen.  The hot shooting continued in the 4th quarter with Logan Kittle providing a spark of the bench scoring 9 of his 12 points.  The Hawks held a slim two point lead until the final seconds when Zach Dest sealed the victory with two free throws.  Doletzky and Vanderveen paced the Hawks with 23 points apiece.  The Hawks will look to try and make it three wins in a row on Tuesday night when they travel to Macomb Christian.

Hawks Junior Varsity 38 – Auburn Hills Christian 19

It has been a rough year for the Hawks Junior Varsity squad.  Illness and injury have plagued them all season.  Despite being on the wrong side of the final score all season, they continued to plug away and were able to earn their first victory Friday night.  Xavier Medina led the Hawks with 26 points.  John Lovell added 6 points.  Matt Neilson, Nam Do, and Conner Henson all chipped in 2 points.  The JV boys are off until Thursday when they take on Lutheran High Westland at HVL starting at 7:00.
