Boys Varsity Soccer · Soccer Splits First Two Games of the Season

The soccer season has begun! The Hawks split their first two games of the season, falling to Roeper 6-2 and defeating Livingston Christian 8-0.

Roeper 6 – HVL 2

Thirty minutes into the first half, the Hawks trailed 1-0, but Roeper managed to rattle off three quick goals to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. Roeper tallied two more goals to take a 6-0 advantage before Dima Machovec found the back of the net for the Hawks to make it a 6-1 game.  Zac Ott added the second goal for the Hawks before the final whistle to make the final score 6-2.

HVL 8 – Livingston Christian 0

Bouncing back from the tough loss at Roeper, the Hawks went on the road again to take on Livingston Christian.  The Hawks found the back of the net often in this game, defeating Livingston Christian 8-0. Seven different Hawks scored: Zac Ott (2), Logan Kittle, Logan Schliewe, Dima Machovec, Merle Tranchida, Cameron Ohlsson, and Jack Beeskow.
