HVL 13 – Inter-City Baptist 2

A ten-run fifth inning led HVL to a 13-2 victory on Tuesday. The rally was led by singles by Hannah Wellday, Sophie Doehrer, and Dana LeFevre, a triple by Annika Van Loton, an error on a ball put in play by Emily Haines, and a double by Chelsea Kennedy. Emily Haines was credited with the victory for the Hawks. She allowed two hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. HVLtallied 14 hits in the game. Chelsea Kennedy, Annika Van Loton, Dana LeFevre, Sophie Doehrer, Hannah Wellday, and Emily Haines each collected multiple hits. Kennedy and Van Loton each had 3 hits. HVL stole eight bases during the game as Dana LeFevre and Annika Van Loton each had two.

HVL 13 – Parkway Christian 2

Parkway Christian got on the board in the first inning scoring 1 run, but the Hawks scored at least 1 run in each of the 6 innings to earn the 13-2 victory. HVL knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when Emily Haines tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. HVL went on to score one in 2nd, two in the 3rd, two in the 4th, three in the 5th, and four in the 6th. Emily Haines was the winning pitcher for HVL. She surrendered two runs on three hits over six innings, striking out ten. The Hawks tallied 11 hits. Dana LeFevre, Chloe Wellday, Chelsea Kennedy, and Lilia Kasten all had two hits.  HVL stole eight bases during the game as Dana LeFevre and Annika Van Loton led the way with two.
