Hawks News · Fall Sports Practices Begin August 12th

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to campus for the start of Fall Sports on August 12th! While there is still some uncertainty in regards to the fall sports season, we are excited to work with our student-athletes. There are some protocols and guidelines that we will need to follow to provide safety for our students and coaches.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the coaches or me at any time.

Cross Country Practice 3:30 – 5:30 Meet at the gym Entrance

Soccer Practice 6:00 – 8:00 Meet at the Soccer Field

Volleyball Practice 6:00 – 8:00 Meet at the Baseball Field Bleacher Area

All returning students interested in playing sports in 2020-21, do not need to have new physicals for the 2020-2021 school year. Instead, the MHSAA will require parents and athletes to complete a Sports Health Questionnaire (see link below).

Incoming Freshmen must have a Sports Physical Card on file.  If they have a physical card from last school year, they must turn that in with the Sports Health Questionnaire above, or they can  submit a new physical using the following form:

Forms must be turned in before the first day of any Practice. PDF’s can be sent to Mrs. Ruth at kruth@hvlhs.org. Students who do not have a Health Questionnaire or Sports physical turned in, are not allowed to participate in any activities per MHSAA guidelines.

As of right now, we do not know when our first competition dates will take place, please use this link for the most up to date schedules:

If you have not completed the 2020-2021 Sports Interest Survey, please complete it as soon as possible. This will help us in planning practices and communicating with team members.

Look for an email with Fall Sports Parent Meeting Information.   Most information will be shared via email.  On August 13th from 5:30 – 6:00 and 8:15 – 8:45,  I will collect forms and be available for any questions you may have.
